Letter to participants of Camp Musica

Padasjoki 18th July 2008

Dear participants of Camp Musica,

I hope you have settled in with your host families and enjoy the Finnish summer. Unfortunately weather has not been too kind so far, but we are hopeful it will improve for August.

Welcome to Camp Musica 1^st – 9^th Aug 2008. We will meet in Padasjoki on Friday 1^st Aug, between 3 – 6 pm. At 6 pm we will have dinner together and start to get to know each other during our evening programme 7.30 pm -. We have sent your host families instructions how to find the camp site.

Our aim is to create good camp community and international fellowship with mutual respect and understanding. We hope we have a good time together. We play music in smaller groups and prepare concert to be held on Friday 8^th Aug at 8.30 pm in the church of Padasjoki. Don’t panic. You need not be a professional or half-professional musician. We hope we can play and sing together in a relaxed atmosphere. If you feel that your skills are not good enough, let’s practice together!
